Antidepressant Use During Pregnancy Leads to Lexapro Birth Defect Lawsuits
Recent findings through research shows that antidepressants and birth defects do have a link to each other. Although it is very hard to determine the cause of many birth defects, today’s technology makes it easier to determine the linking of antidepressants. The results have been taking the antidepressant consumers by storm with the amount of adverse side effects. And the overall number of Celexa and Lexapro birth defect lawsuits shows this. Children and Anti-Depressants can also have its consequences. It is reported that millions of children are under an antidepressant crisis. Doctors are prescribing antidepressants to children for reasons such ADD, Depression, Anxiety and many other ailments. For example if your child is having school problems, family divorce, has behavioral problems and the list goes on for the reasons children are being prescribed antidepressants. This raises cause for concern as to why so many millions of Americans are being prescribed antidepressants from young to old. It is believed that the United States has the highest use for antidepressant drugs compared to any other country in the world. Some countries have banned SSRI’s due to the dangerous side effects. A major concern is that children and adults taking an antidepressant are committing suicide. Besides suicide there have been many reports from mothers that gave birth to a child with health issues due to the mother taking an antidepressant drug during pregnancy.
